Selenium Assisted Living is an Assisted Living community that works together with ADSD (Aging and Disability Service Division) for the affordable living environment through the home based community waiver (WEARC). We have delegated limited numbers of beds to support the senior who based on their fix income on their retirement.

How It Works

Selenium Medicaid Waiver Program allows residents to use their monthly income, along with any applicable pension funds, family assistance, or government subsidies, to contribute toward the cost of rent and care.

To qualify, residents must:

Be able to afford a minimum monthly rent of $1,850

Semi-Private and Shared rooms start at $1,850/mo
Private rooms start at $2,400/mo

Have less than $2,000 in total assets

Have no property ownership within the past 60 months

Have already submitted a Medicaid waiver application and be assigned a Medicaid social worker

Program Eligibility

This program is open to individuals who:

Are already approved for the HCBS Medicaid Waiver, or
Are awaiting final approval and have a social worker assigned

To begin the application process, please provide:

Three months of bank statements
Your Social Security benefit letter
Documentation of any additional income (e.g., pension funds)
Contact information for your assigned Medicaid social worker

What’s Covered?

Under this program, residents are responsible for rent and any additional service fees, while Medicaid will cover the cost of care. Please note that the level of care provided under Medicaid may differ from the broader services available within the community.

Residents and their families will make a mutually agreed-upon monthly payment, which is based on the type of room selected and the services required.
